Into the Taiga: A Journey Through Mongolia’s Northern Cultures and Landscapes
From the Naadam festival to the remote Taiga, a small-group pilgrimage into reindeer herding culture, northern landscapes, and ways of life shaped by a deep relationship to land.
Limited to 10 participants
This is not a tour through Mongolia.
An immersive experience in relationship with land, culture, and ways of life that continue in their own rhythm today.
A form of pilgrimage — shaped less by destination and more by how one moves, listens, and participates.
The Experience
This journey is held as a small, immersive container.
- Mongolia’s Naadam festival
- Time with the Darhad community and living shamanic traditions
- Horseback travel into remote northern forest regions
- Several days with Tsaatan reindeer herders
- Shared meals and time with families
- Breathwork, music, and group integration
- Closing at Khuvsgul Lake
How the Journey Unfolds
Rather than following a fixed itinerary, this experience moves through a gradual northern progression.
Shaped by the land, the conditions, and the group.
We begin in Ulaanbaatar during Naadam, where the energy of the country is fully alive, before traveling north as the landscape shifts from open steppe into forest and increasing remoteness.
The journey deepens as we transition into the Taiga, spending extended time with reindeer herding families, before opening again at Khuvsgul Lake — offering space to settle and integrate.
A Different Rhythm
There is a natural movement between structure and openness.
Some phases are guided — through cultural exchange, shared experience, and time with local communities.
Others open into space — to move through the landscape, to observe, and to sit within the quieter rhythms of the north.
This rhythm allows the journey to be more than something you move through — it becomes something you begin to relate to.
